HELEN HREEN
Originally from the Cleveland, Ohio area, Helen is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University with a Masters in Social Service Administration.  Employed for 10 years at Metro General Hospital, she worked in Maternal Services for underprivileged women and also in kidney dialysis unit of the same hospital.

GERALD GENOVA After a NYC lifetime of winter slush, blackouts, subway breakdowns, etc., Sarasota came across Jerry’s radar, offering Sun, the Beach and Cultural Riches.  After an intense career in advertising and marketing, he offered his skills to the arts community.  He served as President of The Friends of The Sarasota ballet and ex-officio member of the Ballet Board of Directors for three years.  Subsequently, he joined the Board of ensemblenewSRQ, an organization dedicated to performing and promoting the music of living composers.  Recently he began his second three-year term.  Most relevant, he joined the Board of Directors of L’ Alliance Française de Sarasota, where he continues to serve—improving his fluency and enjoyment of all things French.

KIM TRAN Kim Tran grew up in Viet Nam immersed in a francophone environment where she earned a Baccalaureat.  After 20 years as Chief Financial Officer for various national not-for- profit organizations, She retired to Sarasota to take advantage of the tropical climate.  Kim holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (retired). Her favorite pastimes are French culture, travel and gardening.

Ursula Koerner, originally from Rochester, New York, has led a rich and dynamic life shaped by a passion for language, education, and helping others. Her journey with French began in high school, where she discovered a love for the language that inspired her to continue her studies in college. This passion culminated in an immersive experience during her junior year, when she spent a transformative year studying in Besançon, France.

Sandra Rowland is a retired non-profit professional who has served as Executive Director of several small non-profit organizations. Before retiring, she served as Director of Grants for Catholic Charities in Southwest Florida. She has a Master’s degree in International Affairs and Community Health Promotion.
