KAROLINE BLAUDE-ANDERSON
Karoline Blaude-Anderson, a native speaker from Belgium, received her degree from the University of Brussels.In 1980, she moved to Silicon Valley in California and completed her Master’s in French Language and Literature with a minor in Art History. She did graduate work and obtained her Secondary Education Credential and her CLAD (Cross-cultural, Language, and Academic Development) Certificate. She went on to teach French in public high schools and junior colleges for 39 years, instructing students of various ages, from youth to adult learners. She taught French for three years at the University of Tucson. She served as the Chair of the Foreign Language Department at her last high school, where she taught for 17 years.For the last seven years, she developed a passion for foreign films and became involved in a Cinema Club at her local Junior College and Adult Education Program.
In November 2021, Karoline moved to Sarasota, where she started two Film Clubs, one involving Foreign/International Films and the other French films.
Karoline is passionate about reading. She is a voracious reader and in recent years, she has been involved in numerous book clubs. When she was living in California, she created a French book club.
Her love for the French language, foreign films, and literature radiates. As an instructor, Karoline brings joy, excitement, and appreciation in these areas to her students.
