CLUB LITTÉRAIRE – Join Our Long‑Standing French Book Club
For more than 20 years, our Club Littéraire has been one of the most cherished traditions of the Alliance Française de Sarasota. This lively, intellectually engaging book club meets once a month, typically on the Second Friday, at the Selby Public Library downtown.
Each year, the group selects its reading list in advance, and every session is led by a different member who guides the discussion. It is an ideal space for advanced French speakers (B2 and above). Still, we warmly welcome any motivated learners who wish to strengthen their reading comprehension, expand their vocabulary, and enjoy authentic literary conversation.
Participation in the Club Littéraire is free and included with your membership—a wonderful benefit we hope more of our members will take advantage of. Whether you are passionate about French literature or simply eager to immerse yourself more deeply in the language, this group offers a welcoming and enriching experience.
